Kimmie’s Corner was initially created as a space to share everything I loved like writing, tech, entertainment, and travel with my wife. Within hours of its conception, it turned into a Kimmie’s Corner & The Sheila Sector because when you’re married, you share EVERYTHING. I also realized it was going to be a compromise between what we can blog, who can write what reviews and much more. In other words, this endeavor is a true representation of our relationship. It’s a partnership, born out of true love and compromise.
That got us to thinking about the reality of our existence. We love to write about all the things I mentioned above, but sometimes real life has a way of reminding us of the negative in the world. We want this site to be a safe space to speak freely without fear of retribution or condemnation for who we are, who we love and what we believe. This is our place to say “it’s okay” to live life in happiness and acceptance.
So, our rules are simple – on this blog we treat others as we wish to be treated. We review things, write about real life issues, cover our travel highs and lows like we would want to read about them. We’re as honest as we can be given our experience and we hope this site offers value to you as much as it does for us.
Finally, we will always encourage discussions in the comments or via emails, but we will NEVER support vitriol or hatred. This is a place for fun, connections and for all to feel welcome. There is enough room in the world for all of us, we just have to be a bit open minded to accept that differences make life more beautiful.
