What is this Forever Fangirls thing? Well, we’ve been fans of various shows, movies, books, etc since time and memoriam. Yet, when people learn our ages, we’re looked at differently. Not just because of the stigma of being a fangirl, but also for our age in relation to that fandom.
We pride ourselves on making this site a fun, safe and judgemental free zone for all ages, fandoms, colors, religious, etc. We’ve seen and done a lot of things in life, probably made more than enough mistakes along the way. We decided it was time to showcase our silliness, cover things we love and talk about the things we didn’t. We wanted to share with you what it feels like to be us in a world where fandoms are readily accessible and representation is out there. It’s not perfect, but we hung onto one show like it was a lifeline. Now, there could be multiple shows you connect with.
Forever Fangirls was born out of this idea that even though we age as women, it isn’t the be all and end of all who we are. Many times women are asked to ‘grow up’, ‘act like a lady’ and move beyond the silly idea of fandoms. The problem with all of those theories is that age is just a number. Being youthful in mind and spirit keeps you healthy. Beyond all that, fandoms can give you a support that maybe you can’t find anywhere else.
We would love to hear from you, hear about what your fandoms are and what you think we might like. If you want to ask us to cover something or as a question, and you don’t mind us sharing it anonymously here, use our contact form and send it in. We’ll do our best to cover it the best way we know how, with fun, humor and integrity.
Remember: Being a fan knows has age limit.
